Episode 10 - Winter Memories

Posted on Wednesday, Jan 22, 2020
Winter weather has been affecting many of us lately, so here are some memories of some past winters, along with some things that can be learned from them.

Show Notes

The Burnsland Podcast is back with Episode 10. That’s right, the show is now in double digits. Plus, it has more episodes now than the Star Wars Skywalker saga. That should count for something, right?

Anyway, several of us have had some pretty cold temperatures lately. So that brought to mind some past winters and some of the memories that were made during those times. Actually, all of those memories in the podcast involve snow, and we have not yet had any measurable snow around here this winter. I am not complaining about that, although the school teacher and student that I share a house with would prefer that we get some.

Not only do you get some stories in this episode of the good old days (I can hear all the youngsters’ eyes rolling already), but you also get some lessons that were learned from those memories. After all, life is even better if you learn something from it as you go along. What lessons can you learn from possibly being snowed in during the winter of 1978, for example? You will just have to listen in to find out. It won’t hurt. Too much.
