Episode 18 - Love More, Complain Less

Posted on Wednesday, Mar 18, 2020
A message that is good to hear at any time, but is especially important now, is to love more and complain less. Things might not be how we want them to be, but complaining won’t make as much of a difference as loving will.

Show Notes

The Burnsland Podcast is back with a message just for you. And for me.

In all honesty and transparency, this episode was actually recorded two weeks ago, because I thought that at this time our family would be on a trip to New York City. But like so many trips and other plans that people had made, that trip did not happen.

So what do we do when things do not turn out the way we want them to? The temptation is to complain to anyone who will listen – friends, family, social media, whoever. But does that really do any good? There’s a story in the podcast about how complaining just might cause bigger problems for other people, not just for you.

The best thing to do when things don’t go your way is to love more. That might not solve my immediate problem, but it will make things much better, and it might even make me an easier person to deal with.

Several of the podcast episodes have come back to being about loving others, haven’t they? I had no idea that would be a central theme when I started this, but it is definitely a good central theme to have!
