Episode 8 - New Year or New Day

Posted on Wednesday, Jan 8, 2020
Happy New Year! Or just Happy New Day! Because maybe keeping track of things by a whole year at a time might not always be the best idea. Listen in for more!

Show Notes

Welcome back to the Burnsland Podcast! While the previous episode was the first one announced in the New Year, this one is the first one that has actually been published in the New Year if you go back and check the dates. Not that it really matters all that much.

In this episode, we look at the question of whether it is a good idea to keep track of things by year. That makes it easy in some ways. But what if someone asks, “How was your year?” What if you had mostly good things happen, but then with one or two not-so-good things in there? Would that make it a bad year? What if we lived more day-to-day instead of year-to-year?

Also, do you make resolutions for the New Year? What about for a new month or a new day? You don’t have to wait until January to make a change.

Plus, while it is best to be focused on an ultimate goal, you have to take things one day at a time while still keeping sight of the end.

Hear all of that, along with a couple of weak attempts at humor, in Episode 8 of the Burnsland Podcast!
